WHY recorded their first album “THE NAKED SOUL” and followed it with 2001’s “THE RISE AND FALL OF THE QUESTION MARK”, which drew fans and critics alike to their energy-fueled live shows.

WHY recorded “THE LAZARUS EFFECT“. Copies of the album were given out before U2 concerts in Ottawa and Montreal and were made available at Make Poverty History. A portion of the proceeds from the album went OXFAM.

2007 WHY released the album “RED” The single (and title track) “RED” sat a #1 on the KICK FM Winnipeg Top 40 for 4 weeks in a row, and was named “Song of the Year”. Second single, “The Surface” hit charts, hitting #1 on KICK FM and #5 on THE Q FM in Victoria, BC.

2010 a early demo of “PRISONER of HOPE” is released supporting UNICEF‘s work in Haiti. 100% of WHY’s iTUNES profits go directly to UNICEF.

WHY have played festivals, have been opening act for recording artists: DANKO JONES, ILL SCARLETT, EDGAR WINTER and UNCLE KRACKER… WHY recently voted “Best Rock Band In Canada” by INTEL CANADA star search.

WHY where just invited by Bono‘s organization ONE, to film a performance of a iconic Protest Song to be part of Bono‘s brainchild Agit8 for the G8 to draw attention to extreme poverty. WHY covered The Stones “Gimme Shelter” and invited beloved Winnipeg R&B singer FLO to join the rooftop performance. WHY‘s performance is featured on ONE.org international site. WHY were the only Canadian rock band asked to participate. WHY released the latest album “Despite All Of The Darkness” (a title taken from a quote by South African human rights activist Bishop Desmond Tutu). The album released just before COVID-19 shutdown the world, plans for concert dates and tours turned into live streaming concert events online.

With the recent lockdown in Manitoba in Nov WHY quickly halted rehearsals for a 3rd full concert streaming event with lighting and video imagery. Instead they went into GREENEGG Studio in Winnipeg with producer Steve Green and recorded one of 4 new songs “Calloused Heart” recording before restrictions kicked in. The song was released to radio an video was shot remotely (on YouTube,Facebook and IGTV).
